URGENT: Just over an hour ago, a firefight between Hezbollah and the Isaeli Army (IDF) broke out near the Israeli village of Avivim, close to the Israeli-Lebanese border in the Western Galilee. It began when Hezbollah fired several anti-tank missiles across the border into Israel, causing heavy damage to several IDF vehicles and an Israeli base. The IDF returned fire, shelling and bombing the Hezbollah positions responsible for the attack, and a firefight broke out with "heavy exchanges of gunfire," which just ended moments ago. There is no official word of casualties at this time. Meanwhile, the IDF recognizes that this move could possibly be a diversionary tactic while Hezbollah operatives sneak into Israel to attack or kidnap Israeli soldiers or citizens, as they did before the 2006 Israeli-Lebanese War. Israeli communities within 4 kilometers of the Lebanese border have been instructed to prepare to shelter-in-place.

We ask our global partners to urgently intercede regarding this situation. We are praying for a quick end to the hositilities with no further escalation, for the plots and plans of the enemy to be exposed and thwarted, and for a divine hedge of protection around Israeli communities this evening.
