2017-2018: A COMMITMENT TO REGIONAL STABILITY
THE GOOD NEIGHBOR PROJECT
From 2017-2018, IAI served as a division of the Israel Defense Forces’ Good Neighborhood Operation in southern Syria, stabilizing regional security and presenting a generation of Syrian war victims with a true alternative to anti-Israel propaganda. This initiative changed lives, hearts, and fostered new community relationships—truly building a better neighborhood simply through Israel’s commitment to being a good neighbor.

2019: LAUNCHING NEW INITIATIVES

As Operation Good Neighbor came to a close in 2018, IAI began developing new ways to continue working in strategic solidarity with the IDF and the Israeli people. In late 2019, IAI is opening the Golan Legacy Center, a one-of-a-kind brick-and-mortar presence in the northernmost region of Israel, near where her borders converge with Lebanon and Syria at the top of Mount Hermon. This center offers the millions of Israel’s annual tourists a meaningful introduction to the north of Israel, the growing communities in the Golan Heights, and an interactive and immersive experience to learn what has taken place in the Golan since the IDF secured its ground in the Six Day War of 1967, and who now calls this area “home.”
LOCAL SERVICE
IAI is developing long-term initiatives with local authorities and leaders to spearhead new local community service projects, including an educational initiative serving Israel’s disabled population and children with special needs.
